Jim Lambright, U.S. Treasury & Ex-Im Bank Deal Maker, Joins VerifiR’s Advisory Board

Oct 26, 2016 | PRNewswire

Jim LambrightVerifiR, the San Diego-based anti-counterfeiting and brand engagement tech company, welcomes Jim Lambright to its board of advisors. Lambright is the former chairman and CEO of the U.S. Export-Import Bank and chief investment officer of the U.S. Treasury Department’s $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP.  “Jim will advise VerifiR on our mission to bring international manufacturers, online marketplaces, U.S. and foreign government agencies into the VerifiR Eco System,” says CEO Jurgen Schmerler.

Following the commercial launch this year of its product authentication and brand communication platform, VerifiR has been hard at work to outfit brands with its break-through, tap-to-connect technology to add an interactive, online dimension to its products. VerifiR is the first tech company that uses sophisticated cloud analytics software and near field communication (NFC) hardware to provide a seamless, reliable, and satisfying interaction experience to consumers. VerifiR aims to eradicate product counterfeiting and foster engagement between brands and consumers via mobile phones.

“With the ongoing concerns about counterfeiting of traded goods, it’s great to see a company like VerifiR come along with a simple, effective fix that’s good for customers and good for sellers”, says Lambright.

Schmerler recruited Lambright to the advisory board because of the breadth and depth of his experience financing trade around the world.  While at the U.S. Export-Import Bank, Lambright oversaw a $60 billion portfolio of loans and guarantees to private and public sector entities in over 150 markets.   “The breadth and depth of Jim’s experience working with businesses and governments on trade-related issues will help accelerate our delivery of authentication verification to consumers wanting to ensure they are getting exactly what they are paying for,” says Schmerler.
